EXCLUSIVE GREEK VASE DESIGN
Each vase is algorithmically generated, capturing the timeless beauty of the 8 most iconic Greek vase typologies, blending Greek craftsmanship with modern digital artistry. The algorithm is able to create: Amphorae, Panathenaic, Wine Amphorae, Krater, Hydria, Lekytho, Loutrophoro and Kantharo. In each typology it generates an infinity of different vases, varying in design and proportions, never producing two identical vases, recovering the uniqueness of traditional craftsmanship.
DYNAMIC SCRIBBLING TECHNIQUE
A fluid, algorithmic scribbling technique defines the surface of each vase, adding an intricate layer of texture and depth that enhances the visual narrative.
MINOTAUR’S LABYRINTH REIMAGINED
Ariadne’s thread weaves through each vase, representing Theseus’ journey through the labyrinth, merging mythological storytelling with digital craftsmanship.
NOBLE SIMPLICITY AND SERENE GRANDEUR
In 1755, the historian Joachim Winckelmann described the fascinating beauty of Greek art as "noble simplicity and serene grandeur". In designing "Ariadna", it was a massive challenge to find a way to translate that same classical elegance and beauty into equations, and to write an algorithm that Winckelmann could also define as "noble simplicity and serene grandeur".
